Raw Mango & Mixed Vegetable Coconut Curry

DSC_1462-1 I managed to survive nearly 50-odd days without LPG in my kitchen, thanks to some hand-me-down portions of creative prowess in the kitchen from the Mater and Pater. I managed to cook all our meals in the microwave. Well, cooking in the microwave is no biggie, but since you’re so limited in terms of what you can make, you’ve got to have that thinking cap on all the time. Continue reading

Chatpate Egg Pakode

The rains are back! Cloudy, chilly mornings which cascade to cloudy, chilly evenings, the sky laden with dark clouds that threaten to pour down on you, and then the pitter-patter of the rains finally begin. All you want then is a hot plate of pakoras along with a steaming mug of chai, and sit by the window and watch the rains and the lovely patterns they make as they fall on the ground. Oh how I love doing that. Most therapeutic for the soul. Continue reading

And that’s a confession coming from the pit bottom of the yummy tummy. Continue reading

Ubbu Rotti

“When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,” said Piglet at last, “what’s the first thing you say to yourself?”
“What’s for breakfast?” said Pooh. “What do you say, Piglet?”
“I say, I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today?” said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully. “It’s the same thing,” he said.” ― A.A. Milne

Sweet-corn Panna Cotta

Is it August already? Oh. My. God. Is time really flying fast or is it just me? The memory of the new year party is still fresh in my mind (so is the memory of the hangover, but let’s not go there now ;)). And I can’t believe that the Free-spirit Bloggers are into the 4th month already. Phew, now I know it’s just not me. Time IS really flying. Well hello there Mr. Time. Why don’t you take it easy for a bit huh?
